We’re a Los Angeles–based theater company built by artists who believe theater should be bold, ambitious, and a little bit dangerous. Our mission is simple: center the playwright’s vision and make work that swings big—in philosophy, comedy, and physicality—even when the resources are small.
Because great theater doesn’t come from having everything.
It comes from imagination, collaboration, and artists willing to take risks together.
B Stage was founded by a group of artists who wanted to build something of our own—a place where new ideas can be tested, where directors and actors can experiment, and where writers can see their work come alive onstage. We believe theater should be a living, breathing conversation between artists and audiences, and we’re excited to invite you into that process.
We’re especially passionate about working with multi-hyphenate artists—the kind of creators who write, act, direct, produce, design, and dream across disciplines. B Stage aims to be both a home for ambitious productions and a pipeline for emerging artists to gain experience, take creative risks, and collaborate with others who care deeply about the craft.
Right now, we’re in the early chapters of the company’s life. Our first cycle is about discovery: learning what kind of theater we want to make, what stories we want to tell, and what kind of artistic community we can build here in Los Angeles.
